MEMBERHIP MUSINGS
By Gary Mackler

Imagine this ... You're experiencing a little bit of discomfort in your chest, your breathing is a bit labored and you're feeling a little bit light headed. You tell yourself not to be too worried, it's probably all easily remedied and explained. After all, you've been under a lot of stress lately; with work, your marriage, etc., etc., etc.. All you really need to do is focus on breathing slowly and thinking pleasing thoughts. Then all of a sudden ... WHAM!! It feels like an anvil was dropped on your chest!

Your next conscious thought is that you are very uncomfortable with these invasive tubes and wires sticking in and out of you, everywhere: your nose (oxygen), the back of both your hands (blood thinner and saline), and all over your chest (heart monitor). You feel very weak and extremely vulnerable. It's no longer "that only happens to other people". Now it's happening to you ... a heart attack.

At that point, what would you give to be out of that hospital room, healthy and happy once again? How much is it worth to regain your life, your family, and your dreams for the future?

Now you have that opportunity, without having to go through the near death experience described above. By giving to the American Heart Association you're playing a very important part in the research being done to dramatically reduce the incidence of heart disease, the number one killer in America. Affecting the lives of millions. Maybe even yours!

There’s a brand new Lifecycle in our lobby that we're raffling off at a dollar per raffle ticket, fifteen tickets for twelve dollars and twenty tickets for fifteen dollars. Each and every one, who gets just one raffle, will contribute in the fight for life - beating back heart disease. Obviously the more raffle tickets with your name on them, the greater your chance of winning this fantastic Lifecycle, for your home or anyplace else you want to put it.

Halloweeen partyAt Michael's Body Scenes, we're concerned about every aspect of your health and well being. We are dedicated to looking for ways to help you improve your chances for good health and happiness. Group cycling and a group exercise schedule that's second to none are just a couple of ways we aim to help make you the best you can be.

We've just brought in 24 brand spanking new, bright yellow LeMond RevMaster cycles to enhance our cycling program. They're sooo beautiful, you almost hate to sweat on them. They're so beautiful, we’re going to showcase them in a cycling demonstration in tandem with the American Heart Association, at Town Center Mall, December 7th between the hours of 2 pm to 4 pm.

There will be food by Marks' Of Mizner Restaurant and Whole Foods, as well as other prizes. It's gonna be a good time for sure. You can be a part of this public display of sweat, by simply collecting $100 in raffle tickets for the Lifecycle and the other prizes. Hope to see you there and in the Gym.
