On Sunday afternoon
November 23, at Patch Reef park, the members and staff of Michael’s
Body Scenes demonstrated exactly what separates our family owned
business from the other clubs in the area.

About 250 members, staff, friends, and
relatives gathered to enjoy a beautiful sunny afternoon. It was
awesome to see the strong turnout we had for the picnic and softball
game. Just a wonderful group of people hanging out and having a
great time. This closeness amongst so many different people is
exactly the feel that Michael’s Body Scenes strives for.
As always the children were running around
playing games and having fun.

The adults were very hungry this year as just
about all the food we could muster was devoured. I think we have
some legitimate hot dog eating contest winners in our midst. Also
the sandwiches provided by Subway must have been magic because they
definitely disappeared. After I had cooked all the burgers I could
handle I turned the spatula over to Chuck. This year he got pelted
with water balloons while cooking instead of me.
Once again the epic battle on the softball
field was filled with action packed excitement. The staff team
started strong with a couples of runs and a couple of pulled muscles
for me and Whitey (member Pat Lawlor). The staff defense was tough
and watching Ron Rhodes hit the fence to catch a foul ball showed
how serious things were. We built a solid 4 run lead but the members
would not lay down. They came roaring back to knot it up at 4 runs a
piece. But some clutch hits by the youngsters proved to be the
difference as the staff came away with a six to four victory.
Its’ safe to say a good time was had by all.
We look forward to more of these types of events as they always seem
to bring out the best in our business. Thank you to all the members
and staff who came out and a special thanks to the staff that helped
set up the event. See you all at the next get together.
