Summer in South Florida, to a lot of people means
more than just warm temperatures, and loafing around the beach. To many families with
young kids, summer means a break for the kids from school. A time for the kids to play for
hours on end in summer camp!
What a great idea! Why should playing be the exclusive domain of
kids? Why not camp for adults?
On June 15th 21st Michaels Body
Scenes will host a Complete Fitness Camp for members only. This camp will be organized and
run by camp instructors Andrea Contant and Jason Morss.
The only prerequisites for the camp are that participants must be
over 18 years of age, and in above average physical condition. This will be a very
challenging week, with up to three hours of physical activity per day, and much of the
training will be conducted outdoors. No additional items will be required for the camp
other than normal work out attire and a positive attitude.
The goal of the camp is to break bad habits and create some good
ones. This will be a jump-start to the athletes summer and will get most
participants off the familiar plateau that we experience. It is a concentrated effort to
get the individual to the next level.
While it is not a "Boot Camp", there will be team
activities and motivational drive provided by the camp Instructors, although this will be
done by personal trainers, not drill instructors.
All sessions are customized to fit the camps needs, and they will
involve, but not be limited to; Indoor Cycling, running, weight training, Pilates, circuit
training, Yoga/stretching, Boxing, Core Strength and nutritional needs by a Licensed
Dietitian.
Awards will be given to the most improved, and team leaders, both
voted by their peers, and the camp will conclude with a sunrise cycle/yoga session at the
beach on Saturday morning.
This camp will be limited to just 20 participants on a first come
basis registered at the front desk, and the cost is $275. Come have fun with us!
