There are wars raging in the Middle East…Wall Street has more ups and downs then the Coney Island “Cyclone”…You can’t tell a CEO from the characters on last weeks episode of “America’s Most Wanted”…And you feel safer running down the center lane of I95 then flying back home for the summer. Stress

Talk about sensory overload!

Back in the days of your grand parents, they might have come across physically and emotionally taxing stressors “once in a blue moon”. We, on the other hand are bombarded with adrenal draining caustic matter every phase of the new moon (and twice on Monday).

Even with all of the above, there is hope: exercise, a nutritious diet and psychotherapy. No really, the last ingredient to your formula for (at least partial) normalcy is faith.

When you are working out, you are releasing negative energy, also known as stress: the cause of much dis-ease. Remember the old accordion radiators and how the pressurized steam would build up in them? Well without that little nozzle to release the steam (and heat the room), the built up steam would eventually burst a pipe. In a similar manner, building stress can damage each of us. Every time you exhale in a group exercise class, on the treadmill or pushing up that last rep, you’re literally blowing away some of what ails you.

Female ExerciserOn top of that, working out forces your body to adapt to the “regulated (physical) stress of resistance exercises, making most of your internal systems tougher in withstanding the after shock of life’s more difficult challenges.

Add to that your chirpier disposition from a) getting better rest when you sleep, b) a better image in the mirror and the only thing missing is the healthy, balanced diet, to round out your formula for complete homeostasis.

For faith…season to your individual taste!

Every time you refer someone to Michael’s Body Scenes who gets involved in an exercise program, you’re sharing the above-described benefits with them. You’re also increasing your chances of winning a free year on our 3 For Free promotion. Ask your favorite counselor how you can take advantage of this “win…win…win” for everyone.

See you in the gym!
