Theres a new program at Michaels Body
Scenes thats ideal for people who need a little help from our most qualified
friends.
Its called the 12 Week SUCCESS program
and its geared to overweight and sedentary individuals who want to learn how to eat,
how to exercise and how to change old habits for newer, healthier ones, explains
Leslie Glickman, one of the owners of MBS.
Were offering this to members of the community who are
not regular exercisers to help them get a handle on good health this year, she adds.
The title SUCCESS, according to membership chairman Gary Mackler
stands for:
S--Structure.
We provide the framework including food, personal training and motivation so that
you are set up to succeed, says Mackler.
U--Unlimited
potential. Once you finish the 12-week program you will be well on your way to taking
your fitness goals as far as you desire.
C--Creative
menus. Our own popular trainer, Sue Rue, has teamed up with well-known executive chef,
Chef Reto, owner of Chef Retos Restaurant in Boca Raton to develop healthy gourmet
menus delivered right to your door. For breakfast, youll enjoy a Vegetable Frittata
or Ricotta Blintzes. You have fruit for a morning snack followed by Spanish Paella or
Shrimp Salad for lunch. Delicious homemade soups fill that afternoon void. Dinner is
served with veggies and a salad. Main dishes include Seared Tuna Steak or Cornish Hen in
Citrus Sauce.
All the menus are individually tailored to your
tastes and needs, Glickman points out. Simply heat and eat!
C--Conditioning.
Chuck Wong and his crew of personal trainers will assess each candidate and design a
special program. Theyll get a full body composition analysis, weight check and blood
pressure. Youll meet with your trainer three times a week from that point on for
strength training and group exercise.
E--Exercise.
Candidates will learn how to exercise safely and effectively. Youll learn what
cardiovascular exercise is all about and whats safest for you.
S--Support.
The key to making changes, say experts, is having a strong support system. The staff will
be fully devoted to YOUR success and will be available to answer your questions and offer
helpful tips along the way.
S--System.
Those of us in business or running a busy household know that having a system in place is
time saving and effective. Just having your meals pre-planned, proportioned and delivered
is a system we could all live with!
In addition, Sue will give weekly behavior
modification classes each week to help you develop better health habits and learn to cook
healthier foods, says Glickman. Its such an exciting concept and
were thrilled to offer it!
